I received this Audible book in exchange for an honest review. A few times I personally did not like how robotic he made a few of the characters sound. This book is truly a fantastic adventure. Wow, I know I have probably left out some descriptive words. Their story is filled with adventure, angst, abductions, betrayal, rescues, uncertainties, friendship, loyalty, scientific developments, nasty enemies, sibling trust and loyalty, humor and off the charts hot sex scenes with a little BDSM. Darios and Aurelia are enemies but soon become lovers.
This is really a hold on to your seat rollercoaster ride of a story! Maddie Taylor has so many twists and turns in this book that I was captivated and found it extremely hard to stop listening to it. Though as different as fire and ice, Darios chooses to claim her to protect her: is it out of honor, or in light of the intimate connection neither of them can deny? Can these unlikely lovers mend the rift between their worlds, or will the evil conspiring against them, spawned of jealousy and greed, bring them to the brink of war yet again?
With the crisis averted, the mystery remains - someone wants Aurelia dead.
